Special histology

Annotation

The interactive atlas includes a summary of the special histology course using digitized images of histological preparations of organs at the level of light and electron microscopy. The atlas is illustrated with panoramic images of microscopic structures obtained using WSI (whole Slide Imaging) technology, which makes it possible to study them in microscopy mode. Working with the atlas allows students, in the process of self-study, to systematize knowledge about the structural and functional organization of organs and organ systems of mammals and humans.

The publication was prepared in accordance with the requirements of federal state educational standards (FSES 3+) with the aim of mastering the histology course in professional higher education programs for enlarged groups of specialties "Clinical Medicine", "Health Sciences and Preventive Medicine", "Fundamental Medicine" both remotely and in full-time training format. The manual may also be of interest to graduate students and teachers of the departments of histology, cytology and embryology, as well as other medical and biological specialists (anatomy, biology, physiology, pathology and forensic medicine, clinical laboratory diagnostics).
