The nucleus is horseshoe-shaped, its contours are irregular, the nucleus is rich in euchromatin. There are some cytoplasmic cisterns of rough endoplasmic reticulum, as well as mitochondria and lysosomes.

Migrating from the vessels monocytes divide and form various types of macrophages and dendritic antigen-presenting cells.

The image also depicts cytoplasmic parts of a red blood cell, granulocytes #1, #2, and platelets.
